Hi Leta! Welcome. Yes, I am excited about starting this group and building connections between OAUF and Jewish tradition. I saw the Christian Group and thought - why not us too?
My children are my joy! We live in Stevenson Ranch California, but are from Michigan originally (the snowy pics are from our visit to our family this past January). I also enjoy music and cultural events, especially theater. I used to be an actress and have never completely purged myself of the "bug." Anyhow, I look forward to getting to know you better and reading your ideas. Your daughter sounds amazing by the way - what an awesome choice of profession.

Thanks for starting this group. I've been in OUAF for over 2 years and I've felt a bit alone being Jewish. Not that anyone has ever slighted me or said anything offensive. It's just so obvious that we have many non-jews in OUAF. Whenever anything does come up about religion, it's NOT jewish! I live in FL. I'm a single mom, by design. My daughter is almost 25. I live in West Palm Beach area. She lives and works in Orlando area. She's a vision mentor for teens and young adults for the Lighthouse there. She's working on a masters degree in the vision rehab. area at Fl. State Univ. I'm not a very observant jew but I am very devoted to my religion and mostly observe reform. In addition to OUAF, I own a sales distributorship in the promotional products industry and sell to companies, orgs., individuals across the U.S. and even some of the Islands to the south of FL. I've been in this business for over 20 years. It's a fun business with lots of tight deadlines. I love to play tennis and bridge in my spare time. Also love the ballet, cultural events, especially musical. My dad was a professional violinist, so I guess I inherited his love for music. I'm not talented, though, in playing any instruments as he was. Guess I inherited my mother's genes on that side - she loved music, but was not musically talented, either. My daughter is very musical and plays several instruments well. Where do you live. I read your main page so I have the basic of your family. Your son and daughter sound delightful. I'm actually ready for grandchildren but my daughter is no where near that phase, so I'll just have to enjoy other people's kids for awhile longer. Do take care and let's work on this group and your mission to weave OUAF into our holiday and family traditions and observances. I did, in fact, write up a whole bunch of ideas about using OUAF at Passover time. I'll see if I can find that file. It's on the Angels network - that's Sally Whitehouse's team. What team are you under? Who is your upline? Bye for now.

No Nag Nirvana

Yes, wouldn’t that be like heaven? You walk around the house and without saying a word, backpacks, toys and clothes are picked up…dishes are cleared off the table and towels are hung back on the towel rack. Dirty clothes actually go into the dirty clothes basket and you no longer walk into the kitchen to [...]

The Power of Unexpected Kindness

The idea of Door Knob Drops came from my sister, Teri, who lives with her two boys in Moraga, California. One year there were several kids on their street that were graduating from some school or another; sixth grade, eighth grade or twelfth grade. Teri and her boys put together some very simple treats with [...]

What Would You Do?

Last night my boys, Dylan and Travis, were helping me cut out Bingo Boards and put together Bingo Button sacks. It was really late and I was trying to get everything photographed for this first Five in One Family Fun email. Normally they go to bed by 9:15 but it was 9:30 and I hadn’t [...]
