Hey Bobbie Jo~
Adorable photos!!! You have a gorgeous family :)

Love the tshirt..."be nice or I'll crop you out of my scrapbooks" Where did you get that? It made me laugh out loud...so I guess that means I can get less sleep tonight!!!

Awesome pictures of your beautiful family! I love the pic of your son in the tub with the colander on his head. Too cute! You are such a special woman and I am so happy to know you.

Hi Bobbie Jo - I was so excited the see your invite, and I gratefully accept. I wish that we had more of a chance to visit at the reunion. I was so very impressed with your success, and have to say that your passion for OUAF is so evident and inspiring. I apologize if I seemed a bit "quiet or shy." I was overwhelmed ( to say the least) by all of the events, as this was my first reunion, and was, in my own way, taking it all in. Hopefully, next year, I will "cut loose" a bit, and we will get a chance to visit....or dance around in our jammies! :)

Blesssings to you and your beautiful family!

Profile Information

A little bit about me:
In my prior life, before children, I worked in Information Systems for Citibank for 12 years. I married my very intriguing, talented husband (Hunter) and had two very sweet children (Ethan & Grace). I am now a stay at home mom, volunteer in Children's Ministry, and a Once Upon A Family Consultant. I love and enjoy all three parts of my life. It is much different than working in Information Systems. Most importantly, I love all the connections I get to make. It has always been important for me to have strong connections with my family and friends. That is why I was excited to find Once Upon A Family and look forward to all the wonderful things I can pass on to my family, friends, and others.
Family members – names/ages/interests:
Bobbie Jo, 39 ==> Active and involved mother, Children's Ministry, Scrapbooking, reading, running and meeting people
Hunter, 39 (turns 40 8/20) ==> Artist (our home is his gallery), plays guitar, writes poetry, Elder for the committee of change, and then on Monday puts on his suit and tie to work with his partners at Broad Street Advisors
Ethan, 6 ==> Illustrating his own books, Constructing anything out of anything, Transformers, Reading, T-Ball, Trading Pokeman Cards, Asking questions about everything....very curious
Grace, 5 ==> Pretending to be a Princess (she really believes she is a princess)Sing, Dance, Talk to everyone she meets and has a gift to make everyone feel special
My favorite childhood memory:
We would spend every summer in Kentucky at our camp that was on a large stream in the country. All of my mother's sisters had a small house or camper along the stream. I would spend the whole summer with my family: grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. We had lots of fun activities: fishing contests, who could do the best trick off the rope swing into the stream, tubing and boat races, water skiing and at night we would all sit around the big fire, roast marshmallows, tell stories and sing. I really miss that stream!
My favorite family tradition:
Many!! Many!! Many!! My current favorite tradition is...my kids are my alarm clock. No need to turn on the alarm. Every morning the kids climb in the bed with me and snuggle for just a little while and then Mommy..Mommy..Mommy...Mom..it's time to wake up. So darling!
My favorite family moment:
I asked Grace what she wanted to be when she grew up. Grace is 4. She said 'I want to be a singer in my own band...Oh and I want to be a mommy just like you'.

No Nag Nirvana

Yes, wouldn’t that be like heaven? You walk around the house and without saying a word, backpacks, toys and clothes are picked up…dishes are cleared off the table and towels are hung back on the towel rack. Dirty clothes actually go into the dirty clothes basket and you no longer walk into the kitchen to [...]

The Power of Unexpected Kindness

The idea of Door Knob Drops came from my sister, Teri, who lives with her two boys in Moraga, California. One year there were several kids on their street that were graduating from some school or another; sixth grade, eighth grade or twelfth grade. Teri and her boys put together some very simple treats with [...]

What Would You Do?

Last night my boys, Dylan and Travis, were helping me cut out Bingo Boards and put together Bingo Button sacks. It was really late and I was trying to get everything photographed for this first Five in One Family Fun email. Normally they go to bed by 9:15 but it was 9:30 and I hadn’t [...]
