- A little bit about me:
- I am a native Californian, lived up and down the state. I am settled nicely in Bakersfield at the moment. I am lucky enough to stay home with my kids, so I'm semi-retired! I love being involved with their school, sports, friends, etc.
Erik and I have been married for almost 12 years. We actually went to the same high school but didn't date until college. We have 3 great kids, Megan (8), Lauren (5) and Sean (2).
I have been with Once Upon a Family since 2003! I have meet the best people! Even some best friends! I love it and am addicted still to this day!
- Family members – names/ages/interests:
- Erik-obsessed with excercise! He love to cycle to most!
Cathie-I ran my second half marathon in January. I still have hopes of training for it properly and running my best!
The girls are busy with softball and Sean is busy being 2! I just try to hold it all together!
We are a sports family! We love the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Anaheim Ducks!
- My favorite childhood memory:
- Driving to Huntington Beach in our Orange Ford Van on weekends. We would sing Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds and Benny and the Jets. Nachos from the snack shack would be a treat!
- My favorite family tradition:
- It has to be the Notre Dame football games we go to every fall! At least once every season when Notre Dame come out to California, to play USC or Stanford, we go and tailgate and watch the game! Some games have been on beautiful days, some in the rain, some with great victorious endings, some with ending I never want to think about again but always with my family and lots of fun!
- My favorite family moment:
- I have to change it 'MOMENTS': those family meals. Doesn't matter if it is dinner, lunch or breakfast, when everyone is sitting down together-magic happens! The silly talk, laughter, stories of the day, etc. really make it for me!

I know Bakersfield. I have driven through there many many times going back and forth to Fresno State when I was in college 12 years ago. Now we drive through there when we visit my husbands family in Visalia.
