A little bit about me:
I have just become an Independent Sales Consultant for Once Upon A Family. I have two young girls, two dogs and my loving husband who is a veteren of the Army 75th Ranger Regiment. I am very involved in my worship ministry for children at our church. I am very passionate about teaching preschool choir, it such great fun! I have a disability that can really rule my life our I should say that it did for 2 1/2 years until we finally found the Specialst MD Group could truly help me. I now am able to function much better and have the disability under control and choose to look at it as just a daily hurdle in my life instead of letting it Disable me. I am very creative; I make all types of cakes for any occassion, create candy wrappers that are unipue and personlized for anything, I can make diaper baskets, diaper cakes, diaper cupcakes, and diaper babies along with sock babies, rose bouquets made of baby items, tin can gift sets, ie; Chocolate emergency kit, teacher themes , stress relief themes,etc.. I love to read, cook, sew, garden and create living wreaths. But most of all I love spending every day playing with my girls and our dogs. Then having our family fun time when my husband gets home. These are the greatest things that I could ever have.
Family members – names/ages/interests:
Mitch- 36- U.S.History, Military History(especially anything Ranger or Spec-Ops), First Responder, Swift Water Rescue, Extrication with the Rescue Squad, County Swat Team Sniper, but the favorite thing he loves the most is playing army with our 3 yr old daughter who says she is going to be a Ranger like daddy(We call her G.I. Jane) and taking our 5 yr old daughter to the rescue squad with him on work nights(which she loves because she gets to turn the siren on the truck).

Caiyden Marie-3 yr - she is the rough and tumble little boy that I never had- she loves to wrestle, climb, jump off of everything, play army, loves to ride the 4-wheeler with her daddy and play princess dress up at the same time. She loves going to preschool and working puzzles and playing on the computer. Outside she is riding her bicycle or playing in the dirt or any puddle of water she can find.

Morgan-5 yr- She is my pretty, pretty princess. Loves dramatic play, is always singing and dancing. Loves to read to me and play mommy. Is extremely excited about starting kindergarten in the fall. Loves art, the computer, moon sand, going to ballet class, tickling her daddy and playing with mommy's hair.
My favorite childhood memory:
The most cherished childhood memory that I have is one of picking strawberries with my grandparents in the spring, eating as I picked of course, and carrying my own bucket full to be paid for. Then going home and making homemade strawberry cobbler and getting to do my part of canning the strawberries, which at that time was putting on the seals and tightening down the lids. I always smiled and new I had did a good job when I would hear that little ping when it was sealed. My grandparents were always very praising of any and all accomplishments that I did and of course the day ws never complete until after our evening meal and watching The Rifleman. Those were the days.........
My favorite family tradition:
The passing of our family heritage bible, photos and recipes down to the next generationin our family.
My favorite family moment:
My wedding day and giving very special roses out of my bouquet with a special note attached to my mother, mother-in-law, greandmother and great-grandmothers telling them of the love my husband and I had for them and thanking them for being such wonderful influences in our lives.

No Nag Nirvana

Yes, wouldn’t that be like heaven? You walk around the house and without saying a word, backpacks, toys and clothes are picked up…dishes are cleared off the table and towels are hung back on the towel rack. Dirty clothes actually go into the dirty clothes basket and you no longer walk into the kitchen to [...]

The Power of Unexpected Kindness

The idea of Door Knob Drops came from my sister, Teri, who lives with her two boys in Moraga, California. One year there were several kids on their street that were graduating from some school or another; sixth grade, eighth grade or twelfth grade. Teri and her boys put together some very simple treats with [...]

What Would You Do?

Last night my boys, Dylan and Travis, were helping me cut out Bingo Boards and put together Bingo Button sacks. It was really late and I was trying to get everything photographed for this first Five in One Family Fun email. Normally they go to bed by 9:15 but it was 9:30 and I hadn’t [...]
