I missed you this week in Jamaica! You would have loved it. Everyone was so amazing. I feel like God has padded me with strong Christian women who are helping me keep my focus on HIM! Hope all is well. Are you going to FR?

Yes, we here at OUAF use LLL for Live, Laugh, Love.....I like to think of it as Loving Life, my Lord, and my Loved Ones. What Joy there is in celebrating those precious gifts.

Being a home school mom of five blessings keeps me busy, encouraged,
challenged, fulfilled, and yes,......sometimes...stressed. Once Upon a Family provides me with the "tools of intentionality" to focus on the things that really matter. I have enjoyed my (almost) two years with OUAF, and feel blessed to be a team leader, part of the Leadership Council, and also Lorle's choice for the Living Proof Key 2007.

I am passionate about a lot of things besides my family, and my faith. I am very involved in music and drama. I love leading worship at our church, and also directing a home school program called Classical Conversations. I have had the privilege of actively speaking at conferences, ladies retreats, and of course...our OUAF favorite MOPS.

My "Living Proof" doesn't always manifest itself in positive ways. hee hee I can't ever quite get my house clean. I am really, really working on that... but I do have the meal planning thing down. I actually do some meal planning on the side and have had my friends come over for years. We knick named it our "Sisters kitchen club." Now we follow a 4 meals in 4 minutes plan and get meals done for the freezer...such fun to do it together. It's kind of like an old fashioned quilting bee - being productive and having fun at the same time.

Can't wait to meet new friends, and connect with the "old."
Family members – names/ages/interests:
Taylor - 14 ..football, drama
Matthew - 13...basketball, football
David - 11...basketball, football
Abby - 8..keeping her big brothers in line, helping mom in the kitchen
Emma - 4.....dolls, and playing house
My favorite childhood memory:
still to come:)
My favorite family tradition:
Oh, SO MANY....how do I choose? (but, I will)

LIFE's SPECIAL MOMENTS!!

No Nag Nirvana

Yes, wouldn’t that be like heaven? You walk around the house and without saying a word, backpacks, toys and clothes are picked up…dishes are cleared off the table and towels are hung back on the towel rack. Dirty clothes actually go into the dirty clothes basket and you no longer walk into the kitchen to [...]

The Power of Unexpected Kindness

The idea of Door Knob Drops came from my sister, Teri, who lives with her two boys in Moraga, California. One year there were several kids on their street that were graduating from some school or another; sixth grade, eighth grade or twelfth grade. Teri and her boys put together some very simple treats with [...]

What Would You Do?

Last night my boys, Dylan and Travis, were helping me cut out Bingo Boards and put together Bingo Button sacks. It was really late and I was trying to get everything photographed for this first Five in One Family Fun email. Normally they go to bed by 9:15 but it was 9:30 and I hadn’t [...]
