Katy my friend. Your are just toooo cute. Nice picture of you and your husband. Lynn had to laugh at me as I stood up and turned sideways to see it. Very cute. I also enjoyed reading your profile. Have a great Mothers Day.

Just wanted to drop a comment and let you know how much I enjoyed getting to know you better. GOOD TIMES!! This was such a great week. WOW! One of my favorite parts of the trip was the raft contest so you'll have to let your hubby know. Take care of that baby and let us know when you find out.

Hey Katy!

So fun hangin' out with you in Chicago. You are SO full of wisdom. I'm really jealous you are in Florida...it's FREEZING here in MN.

Katy, were you really praying for our congregation??? Thanks a bunch, it's not easy to have everything in separate and new locations, from bible study to pre-school to MOPS to Sunday morning services and so on. I can still see myself in there… nursing my kids in the nursery, our wedding day, a CBS teacher, leading groups, thanksgiving food drives... oh man. The list goes on and on over the past 15 years. When we drive by our campus the kids always say, "Remember the church got burnt down. That was so sad. But the good news is that we are going to rebuild!" It is a slow process. Hoping for portables soon to get pre-school back on campus. Two days ago my son burnt his finger on a lamp and said, "My finger is burning like the church!!!" Crazy! Our congregation is strong and united so that is the best part of the whole thing. Thanks for the prayers!!!! Really!

It was great meeting you and talking to you in Chicago. I learned a lot from everyone, but really appreciated your advice at lunch.

Hello there Katy! My son is 3 like your daughter! It's a fun age for sure. They would play cute together. Of course my daughter who is "older" and very protective would have to approve... he he! Here's to marring our college sweethearts ; - )

Profile Information

A little bit about me:
I am a happily married mother of a sweet little girl who LOVES Upon a Family! I work part-time for a great organization called 4KIDS of South Florida, love my home church Calvary Chapel, and sharing the joy of family with other moms that I meet through my home business. I also enjoy reading, traveling, cooking, girls night out, and going on dates with my husband!
Family members – names/ages/interests:
Aaron, my husband of 5 1/2 years and college sweetheart, is a secondary high school administrator and currently working on his graduate degree - he is the most fun person I know...and we both love kids and being outdoors!
Kaia, my inquisitive "almost 3 year old" pixie girl who loves dancing around and helping me enjoy life more and more every day!
My favorite childhood memory:
Hmm...probably spending the summers in the mountains of North Carolina with my family. I have great memories of waterskiing on the lake, roasting marshmallows, and exploring in the woods (and shopping at the outlets too, of course...lol).
My favorite family tradition:
I LOVE spending Thanksgiving together...the cooking, the scrapbooking, the movies, the games...its a sweet time of togetherness. I also love our Saturday morning breakfasts.
My favorite family moment:
the birth of my daughter and sharing in it with my entire family

No Nag Nirvana

Yes, wouldn’t that be like heaven? You walk around the house and without saying a word, backpacks, toys and clothes are picked up…dishes are cleared off the table and towels are hung back on the towel rack. Dirty clothes actually go into the dirty clothes basket and you no longer walk into the kitchen to [...]

The Power of Unexpected Kindness

The idea of Door Knob Drops came from my sister, Teri, who lives with her two boys in Moraga, California. One year there were several kids on their street that were graduating from some school or another; sixth grade, eighth grade or twelfth grade. Teri and her boys put together some very simple treats with [...]

What Would You Do?

Last night my boys, Dylan and Travis, were helping me cut out Bingo Boards and put together Bingo Button sacks. It was really late and I was trying to get everything photographed for this first Five in One Family Fun email. Normally they go to bed by 9:15 but it was 9:30 and I hadn’t [...]
