Profile Information

A little bit about me:
I am a stay at home mom to 2 boys and 1 girl. I have been married for 13 years to my best friend. I love spending time with my family and friends, cooking and baking, being outdoors, traveling, learning about different countries and cultures, diving into a good book, and embracing life as an adventure. I am a big kid with a huge heart under this disguise of orderly and democratic mom boss! Someone has to keep things moving smoothly, though I can't help to throw the rules out the window sometimes!
Family members – names/ages/interests:
Kim/37/cooking, travel, arts
Jason/36/anything flight related, travel, mechanical tinkering
Jaden/9/soccer, baseball, basketball, art, video games
Kendall/6/animals, books, art, anything Scooby Doo
Spencer/3/ motorcycles, airplanes,music, outdoors
My favorite childhood memory:
Getting to open one Christmas present of our choice, early, on Christmas Eve surrounded by family and friends, food and music, happiness and laughter.
My favorite family tradition:
Making a fuss about every holiday. Decorating, themed meals, baking, arts and crafts. Love, love, love holidays!
My favorite family moment:
Our impulsive road trips with the kids.

Dirty clothes actually go into the dirty clothes basket and you no longer walk into the kitchen to [...]

The Power of Unexpected Kindness

The idea of Door Knob Drops came from my sister, Teri, who lives with her two boys in Moraga, California. One year there were several kids on their street that were graduating from some school or another; sixth grade, eighth grade or twelfth grade. Teri and her boys put together some very simple treats with [...]

What Would You Do?

Last night my boys, Dylan and Travis, were helping me cut out Bingo Boards and put together Bingo Button sacks. It was really late and I was trying to get everything photographed for this first Five in One Family Fun email. Normally they go to bed by 9:15 but it was 9:30 and I hadn’t [...]
