Hi Lisa!
Thanks for your comment! I have to set the record straight about the story on my main page with the little girl. She is not my daughter, I am just sharing the story. I sure hope I find someone that wonderful at the post office when we lose our dog, he is only 9 now, but the day will come! Have a great Memorial Day Weekend. Hope you make some great memories! Hugs- Dana

Profile Information

A little bit about me:
My name is Lisa McClatchy- I am a Christian, a wife, a mom, and a humanitarian, who is always striving to become the best that I can be, and growing in faith, love, and service.

I love to spend time with my family, camping, crocheting, watching HGTV, scrapbooking, meeting other moms, and learning- I am, without a doubt, a life-long learner. I love to read spiritual books, business books- lots of non-fiction. Currently, I am working on clearing out the clutter in my life in caring for myself, in our home environment, in my work, in my spirit, and my spiritual life- all in an effort to Make Room for God (that is the name of the book that I am reading).

I have been married to my wonderful husband for eleven years. We have six spunky children, with our seventh child due to arrive in August, 2008- we will then be in “Seventh Heaven”! We enjoy life together in the suburbs of Philadelphia, but look forward to the day when we move to sunshiny Florida.

I have been a Once Upon a Family consultant since July 2007, and just absolutely adore the company! Also, my family and I proudly sponsor a child, and I love how our sponsorship reinforces so many of the OUAF values in our children, such as compassion, gratitude, love, responsibility, generosity, and purpose. Please visit my blog, A Life of Benevolence, to learn more (click on link below).
Family members – names/ages/interests:
John- my wonderful husband, whom I have been married to for 11 years.
Sean- World War II buff, 11 years old.
Brian- baseball card collector, 9 years old.
Darren- muscle man, 7 years old.
Lindsey- Miss Personality, 5 years old.
Hillary- Miss Silly, 3 years old.
Andrew- outdoor, and sports lover, 21 months old.
Baby- due to arrive August 19, 2008.
My favorite childhood memory:
In the summer, we would go down to my grandparent's boat every weekend- it was the best time I had during my childhood years, and I will always remember that time very fondly. Maybe that experience is where my desire to be near the ocean comes from- sunny days, on the water are calling to me!
My favorite family tradition:
Going to the bowling lanes for the annual Turkey Bowl tournament, complete with DJ (energetic brother-in-law), and trophies for winners in various categories- my son has held the title, in the boys category, for two years running now. It is so much fun, and a great, fun way for the entire family to get together- our family is huge, as my husband is one of 12 children!

A Life of Benevolence

I would love it if you visited my blog- A Life of Benevolence is a mosaic of thoughts, information, and inspiration about my journey on leading a life with a compassionate heart, promoting benevolence in the world by starting in my own home, and how it relates to my faith, mothering, my family and my Trivani business, all for the Glory of God! Please stop by and leave me a comment, I love to make new friends!

A Christian-Inspired Summer Meditation, for Personal Growth

Here I am surrounded by trees filled with fruit, gardens filling up with ripening vegetables, flower beds in the prime of their life. This is my gift to those who embrace my warm, nurturing breath. I observe people basking in the radiant sunshine. They are enjoying the leisurely mood I have provided for them. As I become aware of their summer playfulness, I am content. I glory in the quality of life that has emerged from the abundance of my sun-saturated season. I have a passion for growth.… Continue

No Nag Nirvana

Yes, wouldn’t that be like heaven? You walk around the house and without saying a word, backpacks, toys and clothes are picked up…dishes are cleared off the table and towels are hung back on the towel rack. Dirty clothes actually go into the dirty clothes basket and you no longer walk into the kitchen to [...]

The Power of Unexpected Kindness

The idea of Door Knob Drops came from my sister, Teri, who lives with her two boys in Moraga, California. One year there were several kids on their street that were graduating from some school or another; sixth grade, eighth grade or twelfth grade. Teri and her boys put together some very simple treats with [...]

What Would You Do?

Last night my boys, Dylan and Travis, were helping me cut out Bingo Boards and put together Bingo Button sacks. It was really late and I was trying to get everything photographed for this first Five in One Family Fun email. Normally they go to bed by 9:15 but it was 9:30 and I hadn’t [...]
