A little bit about me:

I am a 3+ year consultant with Once Upon a Family, an Honorary Founder and Senior Team Leader based in Southern California. I LOVE what OUAF helps me do for my family and for all of the families that I meet! I have three kids, boy 12, boy 10 and daughter 6. My husband Dave and I have been married for 15 years. We love to travel together as a family, cook together and hang out. It's so great to see my kids growing up as friends and I know the activities that we do with OUAF help make that possible... things like Family Fun Day, LLL Club and Conversation Starters. Everything helps to bring us closer.

Family members – names/ages/interests:

Dave - UCLA sports, reading basketball, travel and spending time with friends and family
Marianne - CAL sports :), reading, cooking, knitting, puttering in my garden and hanging out with friends and family
Andrew (12) - all sports, reading, goofing around and being with family
Tim (10) - reading, making his friends and family laugh, games, science and art
Sarah (6) - anything to do with princesses, soccer, learning new things and giving her family many reasons to smile

My favorite childhood memory:

My favorite childhood memory was going to Catalina Island every year with my family. We would stay for three or four weeks and each day was the same... fabulous! We played in the water, swam, built sand castles, walked downtown after dinner, read books and played cards at the beach, ate soft-serve ice cream, and got chased out of the shops by the store-owners who didn't want sandy, wet little kids messing up their store. :)

My favorite family tradition:

Almost every week, we have Family Day. This is always on Sunday. We go to church and then spend the rest of the day together as a family... no TV, no computers, no playdates with friends or sports commitments. We spend time together doing some kind of fun activity... chosen from our Family Fun Box... going to the beach, riding bikes to the park, going to a museum, ice skating, etc.

My favorite family moment:

So many! I think my favorite involves my whole family... my parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Hawaii with our entire extended family. We surprised them with a vow renewal. Many smiles, tears and joyful memories!
