So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessings if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:9

Profile Information

A little bit about me:
Hey ya'll I'm Stacy and I'm 32 years old have always been at home with my children, and with only the Lord's blessings has that been possible.
I am active in our church as a women's Sunday school teacher and wherever else I can find to serve.
I enjoy photography and although I am strictly amature, I have won a couple of contests and been published. I like to photograph my family, our activities and surprise friends with framed pictures.
Our Savior Jesus Christ, my husband, children and extended families mean the world to us.
Family members – names/ages/interests:
I'm married to my high school sweetheart Greg 14 years this summer! He works as a mortician. He works so hard, but is a wonderful husband and father and is excited about me working with OUAF. Our life is exactly what OUAF and happyhome is trying to "cure". We are spur of the moment, take life by the horns kind of people. Time isn't exactly on our side in this family.
Greg enjoys, music and plays the guitar and sings with Liberty a group at church and in a Bluegrass group. He also did a solo gig at a wedding last summer, the first time I had EVER heard him sing! It was awesome.
He also enjoys shortwave and HAM radios.

We have a son, Jay who is 10 and in the 4th grade - extremely smart - who is our mini stand up comedian. He loves Tim Hawkins. Jay is never the same day to day, and discipline becomes more difficult as time passes. I never know what he will say, or if I will have to walk away and laugh. He is all boy, rough and tumble with is buddies. Grass stains and all.

Then there is Lynnsey Elizabeth, our 7yr old princess (cause Poppy said so) finishing up Kindergarten. Man, a ball of fire, tell you like it is and doesn't care if you like it or not kind of girl. Lynnsey is very smart like Jay and is of course the opposite of boy and all girl. She loves shoes and clothes, lip gloss and purses. Her BFFs, mean the world to her.
My favorite childhood memory:
Wow, I don't have one in particular. I think just the thoughts and feelings of being carefree. Especially with the least of freedoms our children have today.
My favorite family tradition:
I love to leave our town behind, my husband to leave work behind and getaway to my mom and dad's...even if it's only for a weekend.

I love when it's time for the Christmas musical or the Easter musical at church and being with all of our church family.
My favorite family moment:
June 17, 1995 November 5, 1998 June 28, 2002

No Nag Nirvana

Yes, wouldn’t that be like heaven? You walk around the house and without saying a word, backpacks, toys and clothes are picked up…dishes are cleared off the table and towels are hung back on the towel rack. Dirty clothes actually go into the dirty clothes basket and you no longer walk into the kitchen to [...]

The Power of Unexpected Kindness

The idea of Door Knob Drops came from my sister, Teri, who lives with her two boys in Moraga, California. One year there were several kids on their street that were graduating from some school or another; sixth grade, eighth grade or twelfth grade. Teri and her boys put together some very simple treats with [...]

What Would You Do?

Last night my boys, Dylan and Travis, were helping me cut out Bingo Boards and put together Bingo Button sacks. It was really late and I was trying to get everything photographed for this first Five in One Family Fun email. Normally they go to bed by 9:15 but it was 9:30 and I hadn’t [...]
