Our lives sound similiar,. We adopted our son through foster care, I use to run a home daycare, One year we had a foreign exchange student from Italy who comes back every year and visits, I also like to scrapbook. I just joined the adoption group.

Profile Information

A little bit about me:
My husband and I have 2 daughters, both adopted. The 15 year old was adopted from foster care and the 5 year old was adopted at birth. We have a foreign exchange daughter this year from Germany and are working on adopting another child from foster care that is 4 years old. I do daycare in my home, but before the kids came along I was a teacher. I love to scrapbook and visit. Most importantly I love time with my kids and time alone with my husband!
Family members – names/ages/interests:
Nathan - husband, farmer, likes science and history.
Kathy - daughter 15, likes to be with her friends, art and sleep
Laura - foreign exchange student, 16, likes to learn new thing
Hailie - daughter 5, loves school and princesses
My favorite childhood memory:
I have many, but I love to think back on my times with my sister exploring around our yard on the farm. I loved to use my imagination.
My favorite family tradition:
We open one Christmas gift a week before Christmas. I like to spread the holiday out as long as possible.
My favorite family moment:
Signing the children's adoption forms and they were ours forever!

One year there were several kids on their street that were graduating from some school or another; sixth grade, eighth grade or twelfth grade. Teri and her boys put together some very simple treats with [...]

What Would You Do?

Last night my boys, Dylan and Travis, were helping me cut out Bingo Boards and put together Bingo Button sacks. It was really late and I was trying to get everything photographed for this first Five in One Family Fun email. Normally they go to bed by 9:15 but it was 9:30 and I hadn’t [...]
